Bonsai Bardo Store Coming Soon

I know its a strange time to start an online store so close to when I am about so start a bonsai apprenticeship. I have been on an endless journey to find one place that provides high quality supplies at a price that doesnt break the bank. I have decided to start the Bonsai Bardo Store to do just that and empower some local energetic labor to continue to supply you while I am learning

I am still in the process of adding a great deal of services and supplies to make it a place where you can shop with the confidence of knowing that what you are buying is going to last and work as advertised.

Based in Raleigh NC, we have a large supply void in the southeast for non organic bonsai soil at reasonable prices, for people with larger collections. I am sourcing as much material as possible from the United States to save costs. We are going to be selling the very popular Boons Mix Bonsai Soil Recipe. We will not carry any organic bonsai soil or organic components, not because we cant find them but we don't want to confuse people by offering something that shouldn't be used in bonsai soil.

I decided to outsource to Japan for a tool company to keep quality high and production cost lower than local made tools. I have personally had Kaneshin bonsai tools for the past few years and they are of a superior quality. I chose not to be an exclusive Masakuni dealer as they are at a price point that I don't feel everyone needs to commit to. I personally have both brands in my bag and love both.

We have contacted local pottery professionals and are currently awaiting some samples. These potters are non bonsai artists, therefore not as expensive as everyone else yet still 100% committed to quality; art is something lost in American bonsai pottery. I have yet to find anyone doing American bonsai pottery who even takes the time to smooth out the canvas marks on their clay yet they want a premium.

We are excited to bring on Billy Kellum, a master woodworker out of VA. He is in the process of producing traditional style stand of a superior quality. Made with only the finest quality woods that compliment bonsai displays. I know that you can never find the perfect stand and thats why we are going to offer custom made bonsai stands. This way the stand will match the tree and pot.

This store is not set up as a non-profit, but all profit if any made from the sales either allows us to bring in more products as well as compensate the people I have working so hard in my absence. That being said the more you shop with us the more you are supporting the store as a co-op. In that support we will continue to procure bonsai related items that can be offered at a discounted price. We will pass as much savings as we can back to you in discounts; our goal is to supply the bonsai community so we have healthy vibrant trees.

Our partnerships with these new and growing artist are just that a partnership and the artist is making the money we are just bringing it to you under one roof.

We are adding items daily and testing them to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
